About the Journal

The International Journal of Open Problems in Computer Science and Mathematics (IJOPCM) is an international, peer-reviewed, fully open access scholarly journal published by Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan. Since its establishment, the Journal has been dedicated to advancing research in computer science, mathematics, and their interdisciplinary applications, with particular emphasis on significant open problems and the development of innovative approaches to addressing them.

IJOPCM publishes original research articles, review papers, and other scholarly contributions that:

  • Formulate significant new open problems in computer science or mathematics.
  • Provide original partial or complete solutions to recognized open problems.
  • Develop new theories, methods, algorithms, models, or computational techniques related to open problems.
  • Establish meaningful connections between mathematics, computer science, and their theoretical or practical applications.

Each submitted manuscript must clearly identify the open problem being proposed or addressed and explain the originality, significance, and scientific contribution of the work. Review and survey articles should provide a critical analysis of the relevant literature and clearly identify unresolved questions and directions for future research.

The Journal is committed to maintaining high standards of scientific quality, editorial integrity, ethical publishing, and transparency throughout the publication process. Every submitted manuscript undergoes an initial editorial assessment, followed by a rigorous double-blind peer-review process conducted by at least two independent experts in the relevant field.

IJOPCM follows internationally recognized publishing standards and best practices and is committed to promoting research excellence, academic integrity, open scientific communication, and responsible scholarly publishing. Editorial decisions are based solely on scientific merit, originality, methodological and technical quality, ethical compliance, and relevance to the Journal’s aims and scope.

The Journal operates under a Fully Open Access publishing model, ensuring that all published articles are freely and permanently available to readers worldwide without subscription or access restrictions. IJOPCM does not charge submission fees or article processing charges (APCs).

Authors retain the copyright to their published work, while articles are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License, in accordance with the Journal’s Copyright, Licensing, and Author Rights Policy.
